Stuffed Plaice



    Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped mushrooms
  • 2 tomatoes –chopped
  • 1 small onion – chopped
  • 1 1/2 pounds plaice
  • 1 tablespoon grated cheese
  • 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs


  • Preparation:

    1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
    2. Melt the butter over a medium heat in a pan.
    3. Stir in the onions, mushrooms, and tomato, and sauté until the onions are transparent - around 3 to 5 minutes.
    4. Lay the fish in a lightly oiled casserole dish and spoon the stuffing on half of each.
    5. Fold over to roll up each fillet.
    6. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and grated cheese.
    7. Bake for 25 minutes. Serve with sliced tomatoes topped with fresh chopped parsley.
